IMPORTANT! You need to have a Report Web Service license to manage user security.
Click "User Groups" on the "Utilities - Security" menu.

Select "[New Group]".
Enter a "Group name".
Select Projects, folders and Report Objects to assign to the user group.
General

Project Configuration: allow configuration of Projects.
User Security / Variables: allow adding, editing and deleting of users and user groups and also define user / User Group Variables..
View Connections: allow viewing data connections.
Add/Edit Connection: allow adding, editing and deleting data connections.
Use Stored Procedures: allow using stored procedures.
Change Objects Permissions: allow editing Report Object privileges.
Register License: allow registering DBxtra licenses.
Admin DBxtra Report Repository: allow accessing DBxtra Server DB utilities like backup, restore of backups and compacting the DBxtra Report Repository database.
Export/Import Objects: allow exporting and importing Projects and Report Objects from the Utility menu.
Export Linked Excel: allow exporting to linked Excel Sheets and Excel pivot tables.
Export Excel; allow exporting data to Excel.

Configure privileges for the Report Web Service - Pivot Grid interface.
Click "Save" to add the new user group.
Select a user group.
Change the user group name and optionally user group privileges.
Select the user group to be deleted and click "Delete".
If a User Group has associated Users it can not be deleted. In this case you need to delete associated Users first.
Click "Users" on the "Utilities - Security" menu.

Select "[New User]".
Enter a User name.
To add a new User assign all required data.
Important! The "Admin" user is required to enter a E-mail address for the purpose to recover his password in case it was forgotten.
It is also important to assign E-mail addresses for User to be alerted with the DBxtra Schedule Server and also for password retrieval..
Assign a User Group for this user.
User Type:
Designer - is allowed to open DBxtra in Designer mode.
Viewer - is only allowed to open DBxtra in Viewer (Desktop or Web Viewer) mode.
Viewer (Allow Filtering) - is only allowed to open DBxtra in Desktop Viewer mode with privileges to filter and sort data.
To edit a User select it and change its settings.
To delete a User select it and click "Delete".
